Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House and professional grifter was questioned this week about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s recent comments concerning the possibility that the administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic was hindered by the House’s phony impeachment inquiry and the Senate trial that was a (sadly) necessary part of the whole sham and part of the HIGHLY politicized dog and pony show that the Democratic oh hell, let’s call it “leadership” had fostered on America.
An article appearing on NBC New’s website reported that McConnell remarked (concerning response to the virus) that:
When asked about Cotton’s early warnings, McConnell said: “It came up while we were tied down on the impeachment trial. And I think it diverted the attention of the government, because everything every day was all about impeachment.”
But Speaker Nancy wasn’t buying McConnell’s comments and surprisingly neither was the liberal media (okay, not so surprisingly).
When interviewed by MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell regarding McConnell’s remarks, Pelosi was (as usual) snarky and dismissive, suggesting that those blaming the House for playing “impeachment” for what seemed like seven years but was in all likelihood slightly less just weren’t capable of doing their jobs, in Pelosi’s defense she did toss a ‘I guess’ into her remarks
Then came the shocking part, during that same MSNBC interview Nancy told us that EVERYONE knew about the virus because it was “SELF EVIDENT” and certainly those dastardly people of RESPONSIBILITY knew.
Pelosi responded: “No. That’s so sad. They can’t handle their jobs, I guess. Because what are they saying? We ignored it? It was self-evident. Most people knew about it, and certainly those of responsibility.”
Weird how that part of the interview (you know, the part where Nancy and her fellow “people of responsibility” knew about the virus) gets so little traction in the media. It might be that Pelosi’s remark begs the question “Why didn’t you (or those other people of responsibility) do anything about it?” Was Nancy Pelosi waiting on the Senate, or her arch enemy the President to guide her? Or did Nancy Pelosi and fellow Democrats know about this horrific virus but decide to stay mum in the hopes that the death and suffering of countless American’s would help out the desperate DNC come November?
Well the fact that “everyone knew” was somewhat evident given the massive amount of people who ran out and purchased Amazon and Netflix stock back in early February – oh wait, there weren’t a massive amount of people, but Nancy’s husband Paul sure did, snapping up a cool 4.8 million in Amazon stock alone. Talk about a timely purchase!! Who among us doesn’t wish that they had dumped their millions into Amazon in February? Paul’s purchase seems to be doing quite well as Amazon is one of the few select businesses to remain open during the quarantine which is responsible for the shuttering of many small businesses everywhere. If you had some idea that millions would be forced to stay home and watch television then Netflix wouldn’t be a bad buy either although Pelosi’s purchase of Amazon has done far better.
But don’t bother the media about accusations concerning Nancy Pelosi (or any other Liberal politician), because our brave media fire fighter’s can’t be bothered with such nonsense, the majority of liberal “journalists” are far to busy looking for a Republican head to hang on their wall to be bothered with performing such mundane tasks as doing actual research and reporting the actual news. Sure “60 Minutes” did a segment on the widely held beliefs about Pelosi’s insider trading back in 2011
but that was old school journalism, and everyone knows that nowadays it’s unfair to bring up the past – unless you are bravely uncovering what some potential Supreme Court justice said when he was seven years old or something critical like that
Unfortunately our media today is far more concerned with defining what words such as “our” mean when used by the President (really), while showing little or no interest in what the word “everyone” means when used by Nancy Pelosi, although Pelosi’s comment should prove far more disturbing to anyone with a pulse.
Of course the world can sleep well tonight, comforted with the knowledge that the House of Representatives is forming yet another committee led by the highly competent and capable Adam Schiff (sarcasm completely intended), the head of the *ahem* House Intelligence Committee.
But the appointment of Schiff to investigate the handling of the Coronavirus is somewhat (okay VERY) concerning. If (as Nancy Pelosi stated) “everyone knew, and you could be forgiven for considering Adam Schiff a person, and a person of “responsibility” The issue in question is whether or not Schiff properly handled those responsibilities.
Shouldn’t the House Intelligence Committee or as it is formally referred to as “The Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence” that Schiff heads up have had some inkling of what was going on in China? According to the website intelligence.house.gov/about Schiff’s committee has the following role
The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence oversees the nation’s intelligence agencies including components of the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, State, Treasury and Energy.
Well that seems to indicate a LOT of responsibility. If in fact Schiff’s committee oversees the nation’s intelligence agencies then that (according to Wikipedia) means that Schiff is responsible for overseeing the following
- Office of the Director of National Intelligence
- Independent agencies
- United States Department of Defense
- United States Department of Energy
- United States Department of Homeland Security
- United States Department of Justice
- United States Department of State
- United States Department of the Treasury
No matter how you slice that pie, that’s a whole bunch of agencies, and it seems strange to think that we are supposed to blindly believe that despite the fact that Schiff was one of Pelosi’s people of “responsibility” and that he could certainly be considered part of the group called “everybody”, he knew nothing about the outbreak of this virus?
Additionally, were his many intelligence agencies totally ignorant of Chinese attempts to hide the numbers of people actually affected by COVID19 and the ability of the virus to rapidly infect anyone coming into contact with it? Does this mean that the FBI, CIA, Department of Treasury, Homeland Security and all of the other intelligence agencies under Schiff’s watch were somehow grossly negligent in their combined failure to uncover this threat? If you asked the average American what the countries Intelligence Agencies were supposed to actually do, the number one answer would undoubtedly be “gather intelligence”, yet we are supposed to believe that all of these agencies just missed it.
That entire premise is far to horrific to even contemplate. What’s even worse is the very real possibility that Schiff had our (NOTE: The word “Our” here can be defined as all of America’s) Intelligence agencies so focused on observing when President Trump broke wind, spoke with a foreign leader or changed his boxers that they did in fact fail to uncover China’s duplicity and the true nature of the COVID19 threat. As bad as that is (and it’s pretty bad) it is far from the worst possible scenario. You don’t have to stretch your imagination very far to come to the belief that Schiff was knowledgeable about the virus and it’s implications, yet chose to do nothing in a despicable attempt to attack the Trump administration and to hopefully defeat Trump in November.
We can only hope that Schiff investigates that.
